Third-Party Intelligence has helped enhance our overall third-party risk management program by giving us a centralized view of cyber related threats for our third parties and prospective third parties. We have found ourselves logging additional incidents for our third parties that further enhance our residual risk assessments and how we look at a third parties' overall risk to our organization. Incident Response playbooks have also been enhanced as they relate to responding to suspected or confirmed events at our third parties. In one particular instance we inherited a privately held third party via an acquisition that had a previously undisclosed cyber event. After additional inquiry and their response we ultimately felt it was in our best interest to part ways. Sometime in the near future they had another confirmed cyber event that had we not walked away when we did could have caused our organization to incur damages.
