It strength in software asset management and license intelligence are top shelf, this matched with some really great functionality surrounding IBM and the ability to replace ILMT with Flexera sub capacity reporting saving not only financially but from a support perspective too. The normalization engine software recognition capabilities are very mature, so you get cleaner data and more actionable insights from a compliance and cost optimization perspective. If your primary driver is controlling spend and reducing audit risk, Flexera adds more value to your ITAM program and ROI. ServiceNow SAM Pro is tightly integrated into the broader ServiceNow ecosystem, which makes it a natural fit for ITSM, CMDB, and workflow automation. That’s a big win from a process and business perspective. But when it comes to the core discipline of Software Asset Management, I’ve always found it lacking compared to best-in-class SAM tools. In one of my previous roles, we had the best of both worlds—Flexera as the ‘engine room’ for deep license management and optimization, and then API integrations to push that curated, trusted data into ServiceNow.
